Yvette M. Lampkin

Yvette Marie Lampkin was born January 28, 1964 to Nathaniel and Betty (Moore) Lampkin in Des Moines, Iowa. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School system where she graduated from Des Moines Tech High.

After graduation, Yvette moved to California where she worked for the Los Angeles Times for 13 years. While in California she gave birth to a son, whom she named Bryan. Very shortly thereafter she moved to South Carolina to be close to her sister, Dawn. Dawn moved back to Des Moines, but Yvette stayed put and worked for General Engineering Laboratories. She was a Project Manager assistant for 14 years before her passing.

Yvette was a very private person who enjoyed the company of her family and close friends. She had the biggest, warmest heart and her smile would light up a room. She called her parents every day just to check on them. Yvette loved the color blue, travelling and listening to R&B music. She also attended the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnessess.

Yvette passed away February 28, 2013. She was preceded in death by her granparents; her uncles, Ronald, jonathan, Theodore and Orlando.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Bryan Lampkin; her parents, Nathaniel and Betty Lampkin; her siblings, Nathaniel Lampkin III, Theodore Lampkin and Dawn Lampkin; aunts, Marcella bell, Barbara DeVan and Edith Satterfield; an uncle, Milford (Linda) Brewer, extended family and many friends.
