Yolanda Young

Yolanda Elaine Young was born to Samuel E. Jennings and Dorothy Carter on September 18, 1975, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from North High School. Following her primary education, Yolanda joined the workforce. She was an employee of Triumph in St. Joseph, Missouri, as well as Swift, Titan Tire and TPI.

Yolanda was fond of going antiquing and shopping in general! She loved to dress to impress from top to bottom. She was known by everybody and was the life of the party. And if you knew Yolanda, you were quite aware that she was not going to take any mess. She loved listening to music and eating. Her pork chops and black eyed peas will be greatly missed at future family functions.

On January 19, 2021, Yolanda transitioned from this life to the next.

She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Jennings; brother, Howard Young; nephew, Ray Young; significant other, Fermin Maldonado.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Jeronda "Rudy" Young, Fermerra Young, Fermin "Vato" Maldonado, Fermani Maldonado, Sequoia Stanton; grandchildren, JaRon Young, Johann Campbell, Carter Lampe; sisters, Linda Young and Brenda Young, significant other, Terry Young, as well as a host of extended family and close personal friends.
