Willa Jones

Willa Nevel Jones was born July 11, 1934 in Bessemer, Alabama. She completed her primary education in the public school system of Bessemer.

Willa moved to Gary, Indiana at an early age. She moved to Des Moines to be near family in 2014. She was employed at Iowa Methodist Medical Center as a Surgical Technician, a job she loved until her retirement. Willa was married to Charles Jones, Sr. Sadly he preceded her in death.

After retirement, Willa spent a lot of time reading and gardening. She loved spending time with her grandchildren

On May 8, 2017 Willa stepped from time into eternity. She was surrounded by her family at her passing.

Preceding Willa in death were her husband, Charles and her son, Casimir Jones.

Left to cherish her memory are her son Charles (Diane) Jones of Crowne Pointe, Indiana, Joan (Emmett) Perkerson of Des Moines, Iowa, Clarence (Ricky) Jones of San Antonio, Texas, Versie (Eddie) Hull of Merriville, Indiana, James Jones of Arlington Texas, Brian Jones of Grand Rapids , Michigan and Ronald Jones of Des Moines, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held in Gary, Indiana on Friday, May 19, 2917 at Guy and Allen Funeral Home 295 W. 11th Avenue in Gary, Indiana. Services are to be announced
