Virginia Dameron, 76, of Des Moines, Iowa passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 23, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Kingdom Life Family Ministries International in Des Moines. Immediately following, her funeral will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church with Apostle André Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.
Virginia was born in East Moline, Illinois to Bruno and Theresa (Carrasco) Hernandez. She grew up in East Moline where she attended high school at United Township High School and St. Mary’s Catholic High School. Following school, she moved to Des Moines and worked at various fast-food restaurants. Virginia also worked at Ramsey Village and Methodist Hospital as a housekeeper. She married the love of her life Clarence Dameron on July 1, 1989. The couple served the Lord and did God’s work while raising their kids and grandkids, helping those in need by taking them in and feeding the hungry. The Lord and her family were very important to her and she was dedicated and committed to serving her community by evangelizing and bringing people to church.
Virginia served as a board member of The Women’s Christian Temperance Union of Iowa. She took on many titles while serving and retired as President.
She loved and cherished spending time with her family and cooking. taking the grandchildren to outings, movies, bowling, and swimming.
Virginia is proceeded in death by her parents, husband; Clarence Dameron, children; Henry Dameron, Irvin Stokes, and Jody Stokes, siblings; Linda, Julian, Ruben, and Rey.
Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children; Joseph (Kathy) Morales Jr. of Des Moines, IA, Michael (Trisha) Stokes of California, Clarence Dameron Jr. of Des Moines, IA, Selena Dameron of Des Moines, IA, Felecita Dameron of Des Moines, IA, Olivia Dameron of Texas, grandchildren; Alejandro, Kyleigh, Jhamae, Jesus, Joseph III, Mauricio, Giovanni, Irvin Jr., Anna, Rebecca, Nicholas, Jody, Mikkesha, Pegkella, Santenio, Mike Jr., Mariah, Julian, Titus, Tisha, Emanuel, Josia, Dion, Kameron, Layla, Dwight, Malaysia, Mia, Jamell Jr., Daniel, and Serayah; many great-grandchildren; siblings; Anna Maria, Florinda, Rosa Bella (Ron), Mario Luis (Sharon), Maria Delores, Michael Anthony, and Thomas Jesse, sibling-in-laws; Lydia (Robert) Dixon, Cathy (Gary), Gary (Rhonda), Sandy (Jerry) and John (Karen) Darmeron; a host of many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
