Ty Ellington Mcghee

Ty Ellington McGhee was born on January 30, 1996, to Odell McGhee and Jacqueline Easley in Des Moines, IA. Ty was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and graduated with the Lincoln High School Class of 2014. He was employed by Sephora.



Ty was introduced to Jesus Christ at a young age and was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church.



Ty was a well rounded young man who excelled at music and athletics. Ty was a three year letterman in wrestling During his 6th grade year he began playing the piano and would later on sing in various school choirs and with the Iowa State Baptist Central District Youth Choir. His affinity for music grew into a life long dream of being a music producer. During his down time from his musical explorations, Ty skateboarded whenever he had open opportunity. He had been an officer of the teen group of the Des Moines chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc.



On November 1, 2014 Ty answered the Masters call and stepped from time into eternity. There to greet him on the other side were his grandparents, Eddie Easley and Odell and Eunice McGhee.



Left to cherish Ty's memory are his parents, Odell McGhee and Jacqueline Easley; sister, Carey Lucia McGhee; grandmother, Ruth Easley; uncles, Michael Easley and Todd (Cheryl) Easley and; cousins, Kendall Easley and Perri Easley; great-aunts, Inez Burton and Eulalia Pettway and a host of other relatives and close friends.
