Trey Main Antonio Lee Barber was born July 29, 1987 to Tommy Gowdy Sr. and Karen Dameron. Trey was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools where he graduated from East High School.
As a youngster Trey Maine attended Maple Street Baptist Church.
Trey Main worked at McDonalds. He enjoyed his job and met every one with a smile.
Trey was a funny person. He had a great sense of humor and kept everyone around him laughing. He loved to play the lottery and buy scratch off tickets. He called himself "Lucky Lefty" and was looking to win big. Trey always wanted to be a boxer. When he won the lottery he was going to open his own boxing and training studio. Trey was a talented beatboxer and rapper; but he could sing also. There were two absolute things in Treys life He loved his son beyond measure; and he wanted to be just like his dad, Tommy.
Trey Maine passed away peacefully in his sleep. On April 2, 2017. Waiting to welcome Trey Main on the other side were his brother, Tyraei Barber; his grandparents; his uncle, Elmer and Marcus Barber and cousin Scalicity Perez.
Left to cherish Trey Maines memory are his son; Trey Main Barber Jr; his parents, Karen (John) Dameron and Tommy Gowdy Sr.; a daughter, KaLeah Sherman, ex-wife, Jessica Sherman Barber, siblings, Nekita Barber, Tommy Gowdy Jr., Tiera Gowdy , and a host of extended family and friends.
