Ms. Trena R. (Hunter) Williamson, 54, passed away May 23, 2023.
Trena was a life long Eastside legend. Born June 6, 1968 to Leland Butts Sr. and Charmaine Hunter; Trena was a graduate of East High School and later attended Mercy School of Nursing where she attained her RN license. She worked for various hospitals and nursing homes until her heatlh forced her to retire.
Trena was a self proclaimed chef and her guinea grinders were amoung the best in town. She was a Facebook fanatic and loved helping peope.Trena was a great mother. She raised 2 boys on her own and wasn't a pushover, but loved them immensly. She was an absolute family person and amazing friend. She loved all the "girl" things: makeup, lashes, shopping, hair and dressing up. Trena also loved weekend get aways to a hotel, listening to R&B and lighting any kind of candle. She was funny, opinionated, outspoken and totally REAL.
Trena was preceded in death by her parents, Charmine Hunter and Leland Butts, Sr.; her brother, Kenneth "KO" Oakley; uncles, Kenny Hunter, Walter "Cowboy" Hunter and Bobby Hunter; and her grand mother Beulah Hunter-Perry.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Edward Perkins III, and Zeon Williams, her life partner of 15 years, Wiliam Taylor and a brother Charles, Franks.
Trena did not want a service and her son's are respecting her wish. No services will be held.
