Tina Mayberry

Tina Marie Mayberry



was born November 25, 1957 in Des Moines Iowa to Donald and Van Esther (Hayes) Mayberry.



Tina was educated in the Des Moines Public School system and graduated from Des Moines Tech High School. Not long after graduation Tina enrolled in AIB where she became proficient in Computer Science and Computer Programming. Her education and training landed her a job at Employee Mutual Company where she was employed as a Computer programmer for over 25 years.



Tina was content with work so she spent the rest of her time playing with her grandchildren and tending to her father's needs. An absolute Daddy's girl, Tina and her father, Don were almost inseparable. Tina loved traveling and shopping, going out to eat and just hanging out with friends. She was a good cook and loved taking care of her family. Tina was also active in the Des Moines Alumni chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi. She was given their "Honors" award in 1976. Tina was also awarded the AIB Alma Koland McDonald Scholarship in the fall of 1985.



On the morning of October 3, 2014, Tina heard the Master call her name. She answered and was carried away to the other side. Waiting to greet her were her mother, Van Ester Mayberry and her grandmother, Earla Lockett.



Left to cherish Tina's memory are her children, Tierra Mayberry, Earlina Mayberry and Donald Ranson, Jr.; her father, Donald Mayberry; grandchildren Mytika Mayberry and Myrah Mayberry; her sister Mona Hayes and her brothers Pedro (Theresa ) Hayes and Jesse (Cheryl ) Hayes along with extended family and friends.
