Tina Brown

Tina Marie Brown, 58, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Friday, March 7, 2025, at MercyOne in Des Moines. Her visitation will be held at Mission Temple Church of God in Christ in Des Moines on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Immediately following Tina's visitation her Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor James McNear Jr officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.

Tina was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on May 11, 1966, to Stanley LeRoy and Francis Lillian (Lee) Brown Jr. She grew up in Des Moines where she attended school at Des Moines Technical High School. Tina was blessed to be a stay-at-home Mom and then Grandma. Her kids and grandkids meant the world to her. Tina was always the fun Grandma and enjoyed chasing her grandkids around.

Tina enjoyed spending time with her family, watching TV especially Big Bang Theory, Fuller House and Half & Half. Her home was always filled with warmth, laughter, and love, where she embraced not only her children but everyone who crossed her path.

Tina had a heart of gold and was the true matriarch of her family. She was the life of the party—her laughter could light up a room, and her stories, jokes, and infectious spirit brought joy to all who knew her. She loved singing, dancing, music, and, above all, spending time with her loved ones. Her unwavering love and radiant spirit will be deeply missed but never forgotten by all who knew her. They will miss her fun, loving, and caring spirit.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her children Fela Toure’ Brown, Trishtina Lynette (Earl) Robinson and Tina Marie Clark; grandchildren Joshua Hines, Toure’ Moon-Brown, Taeyanna Moon-Brown, D’ontraez Robinson, Arianna Robinson, Josiah Robinson, Gabriella Robinson, and Kadeem Duren; great-grandchild Melody Reign Robinson; loving sisters Raenette Jones, Mary (Anthony) Wells, and devoted brothers Stanley (Heather) Brown III, and Ray Lee.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley LeRoy and Francis Lillian (Lee) Brown Jr.; brother, Michael Anthony Lee and sister, Dawn Renee Brown.
