Terry Jones

Terry Anthony Jones, Sr. was born July 30, 1963 in Detroit, Michigan to Nathanial Mayor and Eloise Jones. Terry attended and graduated from Detroit High School where he liked watching the basketball team.

Terry was a quiet person with a shy sense of humor. It was his quiet personality that attracted Valerie McFadden in high school. They were high school sweet hearts and married in 1998.

Terry was a homebody. He was content staying home playing video games. . He loved children and hanging out with the grandkids was one of his favorite things to do. He was employed as a cook for most of his life; and you knew why when you tasted his pizza and lasagna. They were the bomb!.

Terry was a very encouraging person. While he couldnt sing, his wife can. When she and the children sang at church, he couldnt hold his seat. He was her biggest cheerleader.

Terry passed away on February 28, 2017 at the age of 53. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eloise Jones; his grandmother, Fanny Jones and grandson, Eliza Jones.

Terry is survived by his wife, Valerie McFadden Jones; his children Terry Jones jr, Brandi McFadden and Montell Jones; his siblings, Latasha Jones, Tony Jones, Darryl Jones, Demetrius Jones, Kareem Jones, Dorian Jones and Todd Jones; aunt, Dorothy Hanshaw; cousins, Cornell Jones, Pandora Hanshaw and Tomika Watts; Sister in law, Brenda Lee; brother in law, Thomas Nettles; daughter in law, Brenda Jones; nephews, Rufus Butler and Carlos Jones; He also leaves fond memories with his grandchildren, Myracle Zolicoffer, Terriona Jones, Tanaya Jones, Briasia Jones and Montell Jones Jr, his dear friend, Caroline Dear, along with his church family and friends.
