Sylvia Wease

Ms. Sylvia Suzanne Wease was born October 31, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa to Thomas Joseph Frazier and Evelyn Green.

Sylvia was educated in the Des Moines Public Schools where she graduated from Lincoln High School. She then went on to Grandview College where she received her AS Degree. Sylvia was a Supervisor for various insurance companies, including, Mutual of Omaha and Equitable Life Insurance.

Sylvia enjoyed spending time with her family and was a wonderful big sister. She was a quiet person and loved reading. In her spare time she would sew clothes for the miniature dolls she collected. She loved colors and her favorite dish to cook was lasagna. Sylvia also attended Shiloh Baptist Church as a young girl.

Sylvia went to heaven on June 16, 2014. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Ika Janelle Wease, and father, Thomas Frazier.

Sylvia will be missed by her daughter, Veronica Wease-Amucha; her four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; her husband, Eugene Wease and mother, Evelyn Frazier; her siblings, Fonda Frazier, Norma Hayter, and Thomas Frazier; along with a host of extended family and friends.
