Funeral services for Ms. Shirley Whiteside will be held at 11 a. m. Saturday July 6 at Bethel AME Church with Dr. Brigette Black officiating. Burial will be held at Chapel Hill Cemetery.

Shirley was born in Des Moines to George Davis and Dora Johnson Davis. She was a lifelong resident of Des Moines and graduated from East Highl School.

Shirley was a long time member of Bethel AME Church where she served as an usher, choir director and on the Mother's Board.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Dennis Obregon of Henderson NV, Rev. Darrell Whiteside (Lolitta) of Spring Hill, FL, and Doreen Whiteside Burt of Denver, CO along with numberous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many friends.
