Sharon Kay Reardon was born to George Kimber Hukill and Evelyn Francis (Jones) Hukill on May 31, 1949, in Chicago, IL. The family later relocated to West Des Moines, Iowa, where Sharon would go on to graduate from Valley High School.
Sharon loved spending time outdoors, collecting antiques, auctions and traveling to Texas Mustang Island to visit family. Sharon always had a big garden where she grew lots of vegetables. She was an expert pickle maker from the produce in her garden. She spent time fishing and she was a good cook. But one of her favorite pastimes was tending to her grandson Teagen. She loved listening to the stories that his imagination created. She also liked spending quiet time with her daughters. She was a natural care giver and did everything with love.
Sharon stepped from time into eternity on November 19, 2021 at Methodist Hospital. She was 72 years old. Waiting to welcome Sharon on the other side were her parents and her husband, David.
Left to mourn Sharons passing are her children, Shannon Parrish, Jim Parrish, Cari Smith-McIntosh (James) and Maria Hawbaker; her grand children, Amanda Guy (Taylor), Rhiannon Parrish, Charles, Tyson, Kaylinn and Taytum Smith; her great grandson, Teagen Guy, who will miss his playmate G.G. and her cats, Odin and Ragnar; along with extended family and friends.Celebration of Life
