Sharon Kay Bigley Jones was born on June 6, 1944 in Des Moines, IA to William and Della (Cornielson) Bigley. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and attended East High School.
Sharon was a great homemaker who was blessed with three children. She lived life to the fullest and was well rounded. She could be found doing a wide range of activities in her spare time. Sharon was a passionate animal lover but horses had a special place in her heart. In her younger years, she enjoyed the solitude of horseback riding whenever she could. One could also find her casting her line at one of her favorite fishing spots. At the other end of the spectrum, this outdoors woman would make works of art with her steady hands and sharp eyes. Above all, Sharon will be remembered for her captivating stories and gut busting jokes. She used her stories and jokes to connect with her family and many friends whom she loved dearly.
Sharon was called to rest on August 19, 2014. She was reunited with her husband, parents; brothers, William (Butch), Ronald (Jerry) and sister, Roberta.
Left to cherish Sharon's memory are her children, Ronald Sandusky, Judy (Allen Weidner) Powers, Becki (Timothy) Boock; her grandchildren Amy, Ronald, Timothy, Angela, Ivana, Matthew, Brooklyn and Joshua; great-grandchildren Eric, Kyle and Kaydance; sisters Wilma (Lloyd) Davidson, Lorene (Dan) DeKoster and Carol Lorenz and a host of other relatives and friends.
