Sean Chapman

Mr. Sean Chapman passed away on July 17, 2022. Private services were held.

Sean Dion Chapman was born in Chicago , IL on October 29, 1989 to Christopher Blakely and LaTanya Chapman. In 1998 he relocated to Des Moines, IA and attended Scavo High School where he graduated.

Sean worked as a laborer, doing construction, furniture moving, delivery driving; what ever he need to do to keep himself on top. He was a hard worker.

Sean was a member of Bread Of Life Church of God in Christ. He was a devoted family man. All the children in the family loved him and he was the ultimate babysitter. Hed have the kids bathed and fed before you got there; a real "Mr. Mom". Sean was intelligent, strong minded, well mannered, respectful and charming. He was always neat and clean and kept his surroundings the same way. He could walk in a dark room and light it up with his smile. Sean did not play about the people he loved, especially the women in his family. He was a clean cut guy that carried himself well and was considered a leader. He loved to dress and sported the hats to match.

Sadly, Sean was taken from us on July 17, 2022. Sean was preceded in death by his grandmother, Dorothy Chapman and great-grandma, Ethel.

He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, LaTanya Chapman and Christopher Blakely, his children; Marcell, Aliyah, Sean Jr and London; siblings; Chancellor, Kevin, Shaina, Cheoke, Jamar, Krysheema and Creeonia, sister/cousin; Dorothy Chapman, Grandma Shirley, Grandfather Eomot; aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of extended family and friends
