Samir Ezekiel Dontez Palmer

Samir Ezekiel Dontez Palmer was born September 25, 2012 in Des Moines, Iowa to Johnetta Daye and Samuel Palmer.

The Love of Samir's life was his dear Mommy Johnetta Marie Daye.

Samir was an angel sent from God . . . a gift. Johnetta was baptized on June 10, 2012 her first visit to VCC, her uncle and Pastor Stephen Long blessed Samir while he was still in her womb. In his short time on earth he was a member of Valley Community Church. Samir came to church and bible study, faithfully, with his Mommy.

Every morning Samir loved to watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. From day one his "Nana" drove from the Eastside to West Des Moines picking up his brother and sister Deadrian and Jonet for school; while she was there she would sing his favorite son "Where is Mir Mir". This is how his mornings began.

Samir was blessed to have the best brother and sister; he was the love of their lives. Deadrian and Jonet loved and protected him on a daily basis.

Samir crossed over on December 6, 2012. Those left behind to cherish his memories are his parents, Samuel Palmer and Johnetta Daye; brothers, Deadrian Nelson of West Des Moines, IA, Samuel Palmer Jr. of Des Moines, IA; sister, Jonet Frizell of West Des Moines, IA; his "Nana" Helen Deondra Frizell of Des Moines, IA. He was also survived by great grandparents, grandparents, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
