Sam Kemp Jr

Sammy Kemp, Jr was born July 19, 1998 to Sammy Sr. and Clarice (Smith) Kemp, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Sammy was educated in the Des Moines Public School system and was looking forward to graduation from Scavo in the spring.

Like most teenagers, Sam loved music. He had a gift for writing songs and loved performing. He was interested in computers, graphic design and he was also a good artist. And boy could he dance! He was devoted to his family and loved hanging out with his friends.

And suddenly, Sam was gone. He passed away December 17, 2015.

Sam was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Kemp, Sr; his grandparents, William and Evelyn Sperry; uncles, Gerald, Virgil and Lonnie Smith. Sam is survived by his mother, Clarice Kemp; his siblings Candace Carr, Jason Smith and Marguerite Moore-Rotich and his grandmother, Margaret Smith.
