Salena Williams

Salena Williams, born Salena Stanley on August 1, 1981, has left us on April 21, 2024. She was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. Salena's presence in this world touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Salena's journey through life was marked by her dedication to her work at Mr. Bibbs and The Hyatt Hotel. Her hard work and commitment were evident in all that she did, leaving a lasting impact on those around her.

A graduate of East High School in Des Moines, IA, Salena valued education and continuous learning. Her love for music, coloring, BBQs, pink lilacs, and animals, especially cats and dogs, showcased her vibrant personality and zest for life.

In each interaction she had, Salena's warmth and kindness shone through. She had a special place in her heart for her family and friends. Salena leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will be cherished forever.

Salena is survived by her loving husband Joshua Williams; daughters Destinee Stanley, Shaniqua McDowell; son Deontrey Stanley-McDowell; sister Nyeesha Mose-Stanley; father, Harry Williams Stanley; mother, Pamela Stanley; sister, Lashay Garett; cousin, Dominique Francis; grandkids, Jaycion Mozee, Dayven Stanley and Nakyla Treadwell; along with a host of relatives and friends who will deeply miss her presence.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Charlene Scott and Edna Waters; grandfather, Henry Stanley; brother, Devin Stanley, and aunt Shirley Thomas.

Though Salena may no longer be with us in person, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May we find solace in the memories we shared with Salena as we bid farewell to a remarkable woman who brought joy and light into our lives.

Rest in peace, dear Salena. You will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
