Russell Kimble Jackson IV was born on December 9, 1967 to Russell and Billie Mae Jackson III, in Des Moines, IA. He was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and graduated from Tech High School, where he specialized in tailoring. During high school and perfected his skills and baseball and earned himself a try out with the St. Louis Cardinals.
In his spare time Russell enjoyed a variety of activities. He was a gifted artist that could draw almost anything. Looking at one of his life portraits was like looking at a perfect representation of the person he painted. He also knew his way around the kitchen. His food would have you coming back for more. He was a neat dresser, known for his hats and shoes. He kept a very neat house as well. When he wanted solitude you could find him at one of his favorite river spots or lakes casting his fishing reel.
Russell fell asleep on May 16, 2018. Preceding him in death are his grandfather, William Thomas; aunts, Roverta Butts and Beverly Johnson and a cousin, Deondra Holmes.
Left to cherish Russells memory are his children, Russell V, Russonda, Russhawn and their mother Kathy Tolson; Ryan, Cody and Ashley and their mother Lori Jordan; parents, Russell III and Billie Mae Jackson; a brother, Roderic Jackson; his grandchildren; a special lady who cared for him during his illnesses, Loretta Brassell; his grandmother who he admired and spoke highly of, Erma Boston his special cousin, Terry Butts and a host of other relatives and friends.
