Ronnetta Collier

Ronnetta Shirree Collier was born February 3, 1957 in Des Moines, Iowa to Una Mae Perchman and Ronald LeRoy Diggs. Ronnetta lived in Des Moines with her brother Duane, and sister Donnitta.

Ronnetta was educated in the Des Moines Public School System. After attending Tech High School, she moved to Minneapolis, MN after meeting her future husband Brien Collier, where she finished her education at North High School, in Minnesota.

Ronnetta returned to Des Moines where she worked at Des Moines Iowa National Bank. Ronnetta and Brien were married on March 25, 1978 and at that time they had two children, Shynnelle and Angel.

Brien enlisted in the US ARMY in summer of 1980 and he and Ronnetta were stationed in colorful Colorado. After a couple of years the opportunity to serve in West Germany was offered to the family and it was not passed up. Ronnetta was with child number three and awaited moving as she stayed in Atlanta Georgia until Kizzie was born.

After living two years in West Germany the family moved back to the United States to Minneapolis MN. Two years passed and Brien Dennis Collier Jr was born.

Later in life the Collier family resided in Aurora Colorado where Ronnetta was employed as a recovery agent and a debt counselor for a law firm and her husband Brien took on an appointment with the State Highway Dept. which is known as Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Ronnetta was a woman of many hats. She was not just a Mother, but a caring Grandmother, Wife, Sister, Aunt, and well appreciated friend. Ronnetta loved to travel, wear jewelry and had the best fashion sense around. Ronnetta had a love for boots, especially those knee high ones when the occasion arose. Ronnetta loved to collect pictures, had a love of music, and most of all spending time with her family.

Preceding her in death was her mother Una Mae Harris and her father Ronald Diggs; step-father Tommy Williams; grandmother Vera Perchman; sister Lynn Diggs.

Leaving to cherish her memories is her devoted husband Brien D. Collier Sr.; children, Shynnelle Collier, Angel Collier, Kizzie Collier, and Brien Collier Jr., son in-law, DeShaun Harris and daughter in-law, Ashley Smallwood; grandchildren Darian Tevon Hunter, Anjel Harris, DeShaun Harris Jr., Jasmyn Martinez, Xavier Vialpando, Abrianna Collier, and Brien Collier III. Ronnetta is also survived by her siblings Duane, Donnitta, Donald, Yoctae, Tammy, Sugar, Ronnie, and David and a host of other relatives and friends.
