Ronald Reed

Ronald Lawrence Reed was born on November 13, 1948 in Des Moines, IA to James Monroe Reed and Mary Ella (Banks) Reed. He was educated in the Des Moines Public School System and graduated from Des Moines Technical High School.

After high school, Ronald completed an apprenticeship and spent most of his career as a cement mason. When he was not working, Ronald was watching sports such as football, basketball, or boxing. He also enjoyed bowling and playing horseshoes. He was a fan of old school R&B and liked old school cars. Whenever he got the chance, Ronald also loved to travel.

Ronald passed away on January 21, 2023. Preceding him in death were: his mother, Mary Ella (Banks) Reed; grandparents, Monroe Reed, Mary Reed, John Henry Banks, and Lillian Banks.

Left to cherish his memories are: his son, Korey Reed; father, James Reed; brother, Paul Reed; one nephew; and several nieces; along with a host of extended family and friends.
