Ronald O Barker

A wonderful Husband, great Dad, wise Grandfather, loving son and big brother has left us.

Ronald O Barker, 76, passed away peacefully at his home on January 22, 2016.

Ronnie B as he was affectionately called was born in De Moines, Iowa to Marion and Vivian (Woods) Barker on January 10, 1940.

He graduated from Des Moines East High School where he played football; and was employed by Central Tractor Manufacturing for over 20 years. He married his sweetheart of 10 years, Franceen Moore and they spent another 15 years taking care of each other.

Ronnie was an avid golfer, accomplished bowler (carrying a 220 average), passionate dominos player and pool shark. He loved dancing and old school music. As the eldest of 10 children, he was a great big brother who looked out for the younger ones. He was devoted to his family and visited his mother every day. He was very close to his grandchildren giving wise words of counsel as well as discipline when needed.
