Rochelle D. Abbington

Rochelle Deryce Abbington was born to John Richard Abbington and Ellen Delores Hamilton on April 28, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised in the area and attended Des Moines Technical High School with the class of 1979.

Rochelle was a lifetime resident of Des Moines and loved arts and crafts, specifically crocheting and painting ceramics. She also enjoyed playing with her nieces and nephews. Rochelle also loved cooking. The family fondly remembers moms spaghetti and her Duck `A Lorange on the holidays. She loved to go shopping with her mother and sister then heading out to grab a good tenderloin from Mr. Bibbs or Smittys. But more than anything, She loved her son, Juan, and spending time with him.

Rochelle is preceded in death by her parents, John Richard Abbington and Ellen Delores Hamilton; grandmother, Ruth E. Jefferson; brothers, Robert Ronald Abb ington, Rex Abbington Sr.; niece, Arceyya Scott and nephew, Alex Moriel.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Juan Medina, twin sister, Renee (James) Scott; sisters, Tamara Cancino, Tokie Moriel and Taryn Abbington; brothers, Ross Abbington Sr. and D. Christopher Abbington; nephews, James (Amber) Scott Jr., Dexxter Scott, Rex Abbington Jr. and Ross Abbington Jr.; nieces, Kardeea Scott, Michela Abbington, Naomi (Courtney) Hamilton, Annette Lewis, Jessica Hall-Abbington and Denni Abbington; sister-in-law, Agnes Ruthie Abbington; special companion, Katherine Belvin; step-mother, Camille Abbington as well as a host of extended family and friends.
