Rebecca Jean 'Rea' Stonehocker

She was born on July 10th, 1956, to Walter and Betty Stonehocker. She spent her formative years in Stuart, Iowa, before moving to Des Moines, Iowa, where resided for the rest of her life.

'Aunt Rea', as she was known to her family and friends, loved to cook, raise house plants, fish, camp, travel, work in her garden, play pool and cards. She liked to play the slots at various casinos, both here in Iowa and also in her travels with her companion of many years until his death, Ken Hall.

Due to having no children of her own, she lavished her attention on her nieces and nephews. They always knew she had candy, pop and some kind of game for them to play when they would come to visit at her house.

Becky was preceded in death by her father, Walt Stonehocker; her mother, Betty Waller; three infant brothers; sister, Karen 'KK' Balliet and niece, Stephanie Bell.

She is survived by her sisters, Susie Brown, Tish Stonehocker and Ebby Stonehocker; her lifelong friend, Audrey Gomez; her beloved nieces and nephews. Alice (Red) Robinson, Beth Balliet, Kaytrina Balliet, Jamie Balliet, Robert Turner, Jay Forkmer, Robert (Candice) Stonehocker, Shanelle (Joe) Farr, Shianne Stonehocker, Maressa Stonehocker, Danielle Davis and Felicia Robinson.
