Raymond Montgomery Rumbly, Jr. was born October 30, 1930 to Raymond M. Rumley and Berthell (Taylor) Rumley in Pershing, Iowa where he was raised. He graduated from Twin Peaks High School in Pershing, Iowa and later moved to Des Moines to start his own family.
For most of his life, he worked as a janitor for the Iowa State Capital Building. He enjoyed fishing, lawn care, antique t.v. shows and westerns. He was always puffing on his tobacco pipe and liked to have a Budweiser or some black velvet from time to time. In his spare time, he also enjoyed working on cars.
