Phillip Tyshawn Simmons

Phillip Tyshawn Simmons was born in Galveston, Texas on July 6, 1995. Phillip moved here as an infant with his parents, Owens Thompson and Heather Simmons. He graduated from high school in 2013 and was seeking to find his place in life.

Even through his struggles, Phillip was always upbeat. He wore his dazzling smile and always had a joke to play on you. You couldn't stay mad at him because his good mood was infectious.

Phillip enjoyed playing video games, football and basketball, listening to music, roller skating, skate boarding, drawing and spending time with family and friends. His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys.

Phillip passed away on April 20, 2014 and was preceded in death by his brother, Devon Simmons and his Grandma Nippie.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Heather Simmons; father, Owens Thompson; brothers, Brandon and Daveyon ; as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the funeral home or Great Western Bank to help with funeral expense.
