Penny Payne

Penny Mae Payne was born on March 6, 1964 to Billie May and Norma Heath, in Des Moines, IA. She was educated in the Des Moines Public School District and graduated from East High School in 1982.



Penny entered the workforce after graduating from high school. She worked in several in fields throughout her career but spent most of her working years at Blue Cross/Blue Shield.



Penny was blessed with three children whom she loved dearly: Francine, Reeva and Chantel. Along life's journey, Penny met Tony Payne. The two were joined in marriage until she passed away.



Penny loved to spend her personal time having fun. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends playing cards and dominoes. Penny had a great sense of humor that she loved to share with everyone. Whether she was telling jokes or sharing funny memories, Penny loved to make people laugh. Penny had a bright personality and truly enjoyed and valued the relationships and bonds she built with family and friends.



Penny stepped out of time into eternity on April 27, 2016. She was united on the other side with a daughter, Francine May-Bell; parents Billie May and Norma Heath and grandmother, Ada Griffith.



Penny leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Reeva Bell-Neighbors and Chantel Bell; grandchildren, Marqaries, Davonte' and Andre; a brother, Norman Reed; special friends, Julia, Gaylin and April and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial donations may be made to the funeral home or Penny's daughters.
