Paul G. Beronich was born on October 1, 1921 to Jacob and Manda (Sulentich) Beronich, in Eileen Township, Bayfield County, WI. After attending high school in Drummond, WI, Paul moved to Batavia, IL. There he met his wife, Grace Keppler. On November 15, 1942 the two were joined in marriage until Graces death on March 26, 2017.
After serving in the United States Army during World War II, Paul settled in Batavia where he and Grace started their family. While in Batavia, Paul owned and operated Pauls Garage. They later relocated to Chicago, IL and worked for Denver Chicago Trucking Company. There he worked as a truck driver. In 1982, Paul retired from the Teamsters Union. In 1967 Paul moved his family to a farm in Ottumwa, IA. He then retired to Clinton, AR and later moved back to Iowa and settled in Albia and then in Des Moines. Pauls hobbies included woodworking, gardening and reading.
Paul passed away on his 100th birthday, October 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Emil, George and Tony Beronich; three sisters, Ann Lingvai, Mary Palmer and Rose Kauppi.
Left to cherish Pauls memory are his daughters, Dorothy Throckmorton of Ottumwa, IA, Elizabeth Beronich-Solomon of Point Arena, CA and Carol Beronich-Kipper of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
