Patty was born May 4, 1936 in Des Moines, Iowa, to Allen and Annetta (Brown) Solomon. She attended Washington Irving Jr. High and graduated from North High School.

Patty was a housekeeper at Grand View College for many years. After her retirement she couldn't sit still so she volunteered as a Oakridge Daycare Grandma. She loved children and they loved her back.

Church was very important to Patty. She was a long time member of St. Paul AME Church. She was the #1 Vacation Bible School registrar. Patty sang in the choir and traveled with them whenever possible. She was a Missionary, taught Sunday School and loved her gospel music. She was a huge supporter of her pastor, Reverend Gaddy. And if there was an occasion at church where they were feeding the people - Patty was there, because she loved to eat.

Patricia was preceded in death by her son, Michael Solomon; parents, Allen Solomon and Annetta Elaine (Brown) Solomon; her sisters, Jacqueline, Lessie, Marian and Sandra and her brother, Donald.

Patricia is survived by her sister, Shirley Harper and brother, Allen Solomon along with a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.Memorial Service
