Pat Fontaine Patton

Pat Fontaine Patton passed away on May 28, 2020. Services were held at Henderson's Highland Park Funeral Home at 4 pm Tuesday, June 9th. Visitation was held from noon until the hour of service. Face coverings will be required!

Pat Fontaine (Smith) Patton was born on January 1, 1961 to Gary and Charlene (Smith) Lee, in Des Moines, IA. She was educated in the Des Moines School District and graduated from North High School.

After graduating from high school, Pat built a life for herself working various jobs. She spent the majority of her career working for Principal Financial.

Along lifes journey Pat became acquainted with Jeffrey Flagg. They shared loved and family until Pat was called home.

Pat loved family gatherings where she could dance, listen to some R&B music and spend time with the ones she loved dearly. She was a true big sister and the "Little Mama" of the house. She demanded that her siblings love and respect each other. Pat also enjoyed shopping and attending concerts of her favorite singers. Pat was known for her helpful, loving spirit. She would frequent area food banks to feed the hungry and help others in need of assistance.

On May 28, 2020 Pat was called to rest. She was reunited with her mother Charlene; father, Gary; grandparents and several nieces and nephews.

Left to cherish Pats memory are her long time companion, Jeffrey; siblings, Ann (Terry) Parker, Tricia Smith, Sharly (Richard) Hill, Alice Destin, Yvette (Ricardo) Scott, Mary Lee, Trina (Johnnie) Hill, Tina Lee and Gary Lee Jr.; uncle, Albert (Roseanne) Smith; aunt, Catherine (Emmanuel) Weaver and a host of other relatives and friends.
