Pamela Maureen May-Valdez was born to Leon Valdez and Alise May on December 31, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was raised and educated in the area, graduating from North High School. She would go on to attend PIMA Medical Institute.
Pamela worked in the data entry field for most of her career. Later in life, she would spend some time with ADT and finally, Massey Fergusen until her retirement in 2016.
Pam loved to travel. The family often remembers taking trips all over; Washington D.C. Virginia Beach, Myrtle Beach and to California to name a few. She also loved to shop and hunt for deals. When Pamela wasnt out running around, you could find her crocheting, coloring in her coloring books or watching "Golden Girls". More than likely, you would find Pamela sitting and reading her bible.
Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, Leon Valdez and Alise May.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Nicolette May-Cooper and Desiree Williams; siblings, Ingrid May-Givens, Doug May, Tonyia Valdez, Anthony Valdez and Tianna Valdez; grandchildren, Brandy Lewis, Antonio Stancil, Joshua Williams, Pamela Joy, Kellie Grant and Redmond Cooper as well as 24 great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
