Pamela Louise Kemp

Pamela Louise (Carey) Kemp was born April 22, 1946 to Edythe Joann Carey and Charles Sharp in Des Moines, Iowa. She attended and graduated from North High School. She also attained a degree in Business from AIB

After graduation, Pamela joined the world of work as an Executive Administrative Assistant for Northwestern Bell. She would remain employed there for over 30 years. She couldnt stay retired though; Pamela went back to work part-time for Target and Younkers as a retail sales associate.

May 29, 1967 was the day she married the love of her life, Russell Kemp, Sr. They shared love and life, nine children and grandchildren until Russells passing in 2013.

Pamela loved her family. She babysat for all the grandchildren and loved cooking for her family. She was the traditional wife and believed in taking care of her husband. They would spend sunrise and sunset sitting on the porch of their home. She liked watching the soaps on TV (especially the Young and Restless) and eating spicy foods. She made numerous trips to Kansas City to visit relatives and sample food from the many BBQ spots.

Pamela passed away August 17, 2017 at the age of 71. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Russell Rudolph Kemp Sr; her parents, Edythe and Charles Sharp; her aunts, Helen Tomlin and Beulah Shepherd and uncle Edgar Tomlin.

Pamela is survived by her children, Russell (Linda Barrett) Kemp, Jr, Richard (Trisha), Ralicia, Rochelle, Ricco (Renee Santos) and Rusty Kemp; 21 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren (with three on the way) a host of nieces, nephews extended family and friends.Visitation
