Mrs. Valerie V. Davis

Valerie V Davis was born on August 28, 1968 to Warren Ford Edwards and Margaret Louise Redd in Ft. Madison, IA. She obtained her primary education in Ft. Dodge, but graduated from Norht High School in Des Moines.

Valerie worked for HyVee Food stores, and Younkers before going to work for the Federal Employees Credit Union. Her other vocation was being 'First Lady' of King of Kings Missionary Baptist Church where she supported her husband in the ministry.

Valerie was the mother of two children; Shaquille Ross-Dawson and her daughter, Keyanna Parker, who is expecting Valerie's first granddaughter in October.

After a courageous fight with breast cancer, Valerie won and went home to be with the Lord. She was 43 years old. Preceding Valerie in death were her son, Shaquille; her parents, her brothers Michael and Jeffrey Marshall, Jeome Edwards and her sisters, June Edwards and Pat Curtis.

Left to treasure Valerie's memory are her devoted husband, Rev. Harold Davis, Jr; her daughter, Keyanna; her sisters Elizabeth Wayles, Yvonne (Mike) Harchall, Kathy Scott, Sheryl (Greg) Leverette, Tina Nickens and Serina James; her brothers, Paul (Roberta) Marshall, Warren Edwards, Jr., Brice Dawson and Tommy Marshall; her King of Kings and Corinthian church families and a host of other extended family and many friends
