Nichelle Henderson went to be with the Lord on December 31, 2024, at the age of 52. She passed away surrounded by her loving family and friends in her final moments. Nichelle was a woman of immense humor, boldness, and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with her loved ones. Her passion for helping others, her unwavering spirit, and her radiant presence will forever be remembered.
Born on September 15, 1972, in Des Moines, Iowa, Nichelle lived a life full of purpose and joy. She spent most of her career in the customer service field and lived in Des Moines, Minneapolis. And St. Paul. Nichelle was a member of Kingdom Connections Outreach Ministries and would sometimes visit New Beginnings Discipleship Ministries. As her faith flourished, she loved sharing the word of Christ with others. She enjoyed cooking and playing video games, hobbies that brought her joy and connected her with others. Her vibrant personality and generous heart made her unforgettable to all who knew her.
Nichelle was a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, daughter, sister, and friend. She had a light that could brighten any room—loud, bold, and silly, but most of all caring, loving, generous, and full of life. Her love for her family and friends was evident in every moment she spent with them.
Nichelle is survived by her children, Raeisha and Lanisha, and her grandchildren, Na’Riyah, Dontaya, Elijah, and Santravious. her loving mother, Edna Henderson; her godparents, Joan and Emmett Perkerson; She is also survived by her sisters, Marqueta and Tracina; her god-sister, Keyatta; her nieces and nephews, Tschida, Nichelle, Marvin, Mata, Derrick, Mariana, Dea’Majeon, Gary, Shawn, Tatyanna, Dewayne, Aniyah, Makai, and Xy’Aire; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Nichelle was a fighter who overcame many battles throughout her life. She was the strongest, bravest, and most God-fearing woman her family knew. Her love, strength, and faith have left a lasting impact on everyone she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Nichelle was legendary, and her legacy will live on in our hearts.
