Mark Fountain

Mark Fountain passed away on June 19, 2023. Check back for a full obituary. A memorial service is being held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Henderson's Chapel at 1 p.m. 

Mark Eugene Fountain was born on November 9, 1966, to the parentage of Euric and Norma Mae Fountain in Des Moines, Iowa. Mark attended Des Moines Public Schools and attended North High School. Mark began a career working at Lutheran Hospital before retiring, but one of his greatest titles that he was most proud to hold was being a father. Mark was his children’s number one fan, always there to offer his love, support, and encouragement.

Being a lifelong New England Patriots football fan, Mark enjoyed spending time with family and friends waiting on the Patriots to win another Super Bowl. Mark lived life to the fullest and enjoyed being a grandfather to his four grandchildren whom he adored. Always cracking a joke and going above and beyond to make memories for those around him was just one of the many ways Mark brought happiness to the world. If you ever got the opportunity to hear him sing a tune or two, you know you were graced by an angel.

Mark is preceded in death by his father and mother Euric and Norma Mae Fountain, sister Carolyn and his brother Hershal Quinn. Mark leaves to cherish many memories with love his daughters whom he loved so deeply Macella and Martika Fountain, grandchildren Ne’Aria, Bless, Ka’Aria, Te’Aria. His stepchildren whom he treated as his own, Tonnyia, Taji and Tylisha Bruce and Taler Jefferson. His siblings who were his best friends Tina Fountain, Euric Fountain, Chung, Larry, Lanzo and Willie Quinn. Mark also leaves to cherish fond memories with his three best friends Martell (Mo), Guy and Harry.
