Margaret Tresa Davis Talton came into the world on September 21, 1947, the daughter of Howell Samuel Dameron and Ollie Mae (Fleetwood) Dameron. She was born in Des Moines and attended Des Moines public schools where she graduated from Des Moines Tech High School.
Tresa worked for the Des Moines public school system bus for many years. She loved working with children. Tresa also loved to sew, play cards and shop. She loved spending time with her family. Family was very important to her. She was very thoughtful; she always acknowledged a birthday, anniversary or graduation.
After a valiant fight with cancer, Tresa won the battle and went home to be with the Lord on July 2, 2017. She was welcomed home by her husband, Clarence Talton; her parents; her son, Glen E. Davis and grandsons, Emeri Davis and Matthew Davis; two brothers, Clarence and Henry; a sister, Donna Watson; and her uncle, Irvin P. Dameron.
Left to cherish Tresas memory are her children, Douglas (Rebecca) Davis of Seattle, WA, Angela Nwaturuocha and Monisha E. Black Cloud of Des Moines; daughter in law, Debbie Davis; siblings, Sandra (Gerald) Spencer, Lydia (Rev. Robert) Dixon, Charles Dameron, Gary (Rhonda) Dameron, John (Karen) Dameron all of Des Moines, Catherine (Gary) Reed of Kansas City, MO; 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.
We thank God for the time He loaned this strong,
beautiful woman to us. She loved us, taught us,
molded us into the people we are today.
We thank you for your care and concern.
