Margaret Guzman was born to Santiago and Juanita "Katie" Guzman on February 22, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa. Margaret completed her general studies at St. Josephs Catholic School. At age 32, she went back to college and got her certification as an O.B. technician.

Margaret worked as an O,B. Technician for over 40 years. She loved children and it was Margarets calling to welcome newborn babies into the world. She probably welcomed half of Des Moines into the world!

Margaret confessed Christ to be her Savior at an early age and attended church with her family. She loved the Lord, read her Bible faithfully and was always leading or encouraging people to seek God. One of lifes highlights was her trip to the Holy Land in 1996. While working around the house, you would often hear Margaret humming gospel or praise and worship music. She was a tremendous woman of faith.

Margaret joined Charles Edward Greene in Holy Matrimony, in 1949. To this union 11 children were born. Margaret loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending quality time with her immediate and extended family members. After a while, she became the "neighborhood mom". Being surrounded by such a large family, there was always food involved and Margaret "got down in the kitchen"! Whether cooking or baking, Margaret had it covered without question. Her chicken, potato salad and Mississippi Mud pie were always sought after at home and family gatherings. With having such a generous heart, Margaret enjoyed cooking for others on top of many other things.

Margaret was full of life and laughter with her amazing sense of humor. She enjoyed traveling the USA,. going to Prairie Meadows and doing word search puzzles. She was known to be very independent and opinionated in her own way, but her heart of love welcomed everyone who was around her. If you got close, you could possibly be responsible for rubbing Margarets feet, which she loved. Her children doted on her and sought to spoil her whenever they could.

On December 15, 2020, Margaret Greene transitioned from labor to reward. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Greene; parents, Santiago and Juanita "Katie" Guzman; son, David and siblings, James, John, Antonio and Juanita.

Left to cherish Margarets memories are her children, Charles (Maria) Greene, Leta (Johnny) McGregor, Cindy Greene, Paul Greene, Tim (Ivette) Greene, Steve (Tammy) Greene, Mark (Layne) Greene, Lisa (Ronald) Robinson, Michael (Tomika) Greene and Matthew Greene; siblings, Mary, Gloria and Ray; over 100 grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.Visitation
