Lydia Evans passed away on October 7, 2019.
Celebration of Life service will be held November 2, 2019 at Faith Chapel Evangelistic Ministry at 6000 Douglas Avenue in Des Moines. The wake keeping will be held on Friday at 2727 Douglas starting at 8pm. Tributes will be completed at that time.
Lydia Evans was born August 5, 1982 in Monrovia, Liberia West Africa. She emigrated to the United States in 2002.
Lydia was a very caring person. She exhibited her compassion by caring for her mother, Agnes, during her final illness and her devotion to caring for her sick patients at the hospital as a CNA. She was always willing to help others.
Lydia was the family comedienne. She liked to make people laugh. Her big smile would light up the room and encourage people to laugh at their troubles. She liked traveling and cooking. She was the best at making towaghee. She was also a good singer.
Lydia is survived by her children Promise and Justice Evans; her brothers and sisters in Liberia and Ghana; her uncles, Karsor Dennis, Lawrence Dennis and Anthony Woolie; her aunts, Sarah Dennis and Siehnal Diggs; best cousins, Charles Dennis, Seedor Dennis and Josephine Mbayo, a special friend Dadley along withextended family and friends.Visitation
