Lovrene Jackson was born on July 13, 1945 to Leslie and Leona Boyd, in Lauderdale, MS. She graduated from high school and went on to earn her Certified Nursing Aide License.
Lovrene was the loving mother of four children: Carl, Maurice, Patricia and Tammy.
Lovrene was gentle and caring to the patients she served. She worked at Bishop Drumm/Ramsey Nursing Home and Mercy Hospital. After retirement, Lovrene went back to work at the John R. Grubb YMCA Nursery.
Lovrene was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church, where she served on the usher board. In her spare time, Lovrene enjoyed fishing, cooking, traveling and listening to some "Down Home Blues".
On February 1, 2015 Lovrene answered her Master's call and transitioned from time into eternity. There to meet her on the other side was a daughter, Tammy; parents, Leslie and Leona; sisters, Mary Alice, Annie Mag, Isabelle, Bobbie Ruth, Verna Lee and brothers, Willy, John and Otis..
Left to cherish Lovrene's memory are her children Carl Jackson, Maurice Jackson and Patricia (Stanley) Reliford; grandchildren, Gunetha Becliako, Jamell Bolden, Nasauni and Tombray; great grandchild, Gabriel and a brother, Luther James Boyd; a sister in law, Ida Mae Boyd and a host of extended family and friends.
