Louise Erwin

Louise Anna Erwin was born on September 5, 1924 to Mary Housh and Mr. Hoffroggee.  Louise worked at the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital as a Dietary Aide for many years.

Louise had an unusual ability to make plants grow. She had a green thumb when it came to her veggie garden and flowers. She tended to them everyday when the weather would allow. Louise was a good cook and was known for the best fried chicken. Louise enjoyed fishing and camping at Spirit Lake. Louise was independent and mentally sharp. Up until the age of 93 Louise was still driving her 1975 Monte Carlo.

Louise passed on May 26, 2023 at the young age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Erwin; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hoffroggee; daughter, Linda; son, Dan; and 8 siblings.

Left to cherish Louise’s memories are her son, Gary; 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Burial will be at Minburn Cemetery later this month.
