Lee Dale Henderson

Lee Dale Henderson was born November 8, 1938 in Taylor, Arkansas to Chester and Nellie (Rankin) Henderson.

He attended and graduated from Taylor High School. After graduation, Lee set out to make a living and see the world. But first things first; he needed a wife. He met and married the former Betty Jean Williams and they married in April of 1958. Lee was a dedicated family man. He would do whatever it took to provide for and raise his family. He worked for many years for Janitorial and environmental cleaning services. He was an encourager to not only his children, but all those he came in contact with. He always had a word on how to better yourself.

Lee was a generous man with a huge heart. He was always willing to help in any way he could. He moved homeless and down on your luck people into the family home, all the time. He fed anyone that was hungry. He was a great cook. His BBQ sauce was a family secret that he took to the grave with him. His special seasoning for chicken and fish... he never let you see, but boy, it was good! He had an infectious smile and didn't meet many strangers. He loved Playing his guitar, Nascar racing, boxing, fishing and most of all, The Young and the Restless!

L.D. was called from labor to reward on March 6, 2017 at the age of 78. He was preceded in 1985 by his wife Betty; children, Charlotte and Marcus Henderson; his parents, Chester and Nellie Henderson; and his siblings, Manson, James, Roy and George Henderson.

Lee leaves to cherish his memory his children, Bobbie Jean Henderson Adair, Patrick Henderson, Andre Henderson, Brandon Henderson, La'Kesha Jones, Darrius Bryson and Darrionna Bryson; his grandchildren, Rarkeshia Adair, Dominique Snyder, Heaven Butts, Louis Jones, Jr, Laraj Jones and London 'LD' Jones, Diamond Campbell and Betty Jean Henderson; great grandchildren, Keric Hill, Corey Shannon Jr, Keara Adair, D'Marriyea Snyder, DaJuan Easter Jr, D'Shalaun Easter, D'Essence Easter, Zaire Davis and a host of extended family and many friends.
