Leroy Curl

Leroy Curl, 70, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.

Born in Portland, Arkansas, to the parents Sylvester and Ethel (Cornell) Curl, Lee grew up in Des
Moines and graduated from North High School. After High School, Lee found employment with
Northwestern Bell and then the US Postal Office and was part of the USPS Union. During his
free time, he enjoyed working out, playing the bass guitar, knocking down pins at the bowling
alley and focused on his loving dog Zeus. Lee was blessed with a lot of friends and family and
will be greatly missed.

Lee Curl was preceeded in death by his parents Sylvester and Ethel (Cornell) Curl; Brother,
Quintin Curl; and his Sister Mary Amerison.

Those left behind to cherish his love and memories include: Children: Marcus Amerison,
LaMonte (Semkia) Amerison, Monica Klampe, and Casino McDonald; 17 Grandchildren; 4 Great-
Grandchildren; and many Neices, Nephews, Cousins and Close Friends.

Services will be held at a later date.
