Kevin Dale Hayter

Kevin Dale Hayter was born on November 7, 1950 to Byron and Bertie (Thurston) Hayter, in Des Moines, IA. He was educated in the Des Moines School District and graduated from North High School. Kevin played softball as well as wrestled for the North High. He also was known to carry the harmony for several singing groups around the Des Moines Area. He and several other guys just knew they rivaled the Temptations in sound and presentation!

While in Jr High School Kevin met Norma Frazier, the love of his life. Their romance would continue throughout their teenage years all the way through high school. The young couple was joined in holy matrimony and were blessed with two children, Julian and Nicole.

Kevin was a skilled mechanic. His specialty was working on large motors and vehicles spending the majority of his career at John Deere in Ankeny.

Kevin stepped from time into eternity on December 16, 2016. He was welcomed on the other side by his parents, Byron and Bertie Hayter and siblings, Gretchen Johnson and Byron Hayter.

Left to cherish Kevins memory are his wife, Norma Hayter; children, Julian Hayter and Nicole Hayter-Allen; grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Hayter, Zora Jay Allen-Hayter, Beatrice Anne Allen-Hayter and Judith C. Allen-Hayter; sisters, Tam Bonwell and Patricia Hayter and a host of other relatives and friends. Gathering of Family and Friends
