Kelly Wheeler

Kelly Wheeler, 65, of Des Moines, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Hendersons Funeral & Cremation Care from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Immediately following her visitation, her funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m.

Kelly was born in Des Moines, Iowa on January 5, 1960, to Richard and Judith (Bales) Wheeler. She grew up in Saydel and attended Saydel High School where she graduated from the class of 1978. Kelly lived in Des Moines her entire life. She married Robin Wheeler on January 1, 1999. Kelly was a fantastic mother, and her kids and grandkids were her world.

Kelly was a member of the RollerZ Only Car Club. She loved celebrating the holidays with her family, going to car shows, motorcycles, and being a part of the car club community.

Those left to cherish her loving memory are her husband, Robin Wheeler; children Brad (Crystal) Wheeler, and Keela (James) Sheperd; stepson Jason Lee Benton; grandchildren Trent Stephenson and Trevor Lewellin; great-grandchildren Remington and Nova Stephenson; siblings Rhonda (Lynn), Brandi, and Brenda (Jim); many nieces and nephews Harry, Tanner, Collin, and Cassandra; many other family members and special friends.

Kelly was preceded in death by her parents and sister Shawn.
