Justine M. Morton

A Memorial service for Justine M. Mortton is planned for 12 Noon, Saturday, August 5th at Corinthian Baptist Church. 

Justine Marie Morton passed away peacefully on April 7, 2023, at the age of 71.

 Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the oldest daughter of Edward and Paula Morton. They both proceeded her in death. She has one sister, Wendy Morton Green.

Justine loved Des Moines. She attended Des Moines public schools, graduating from Lincoln High School. She participated in multiple clubs and associations. She was inducted into Lincoln High School’s Alumni Hall of Fame in 2008. Justine attended Drake University where she earned bachelor degrees in Psychology and Sociology. She went on to attain a Master’s degree in Public Administration and Human Resources.

Justine was a member of Corinthian Baptist Church. She was also a member of Iota Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kapp Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and many other local organizations.

Always an innovator, Justine started her own company, Morton Consulting in 1997. She also worked at Wells Fargo as an Employee Relations Consultant, at IFMC as a Human Resource Manager and The Des Moines Register.

Justine will be truly missed by her family and friends
