Joseph 'Butch' Williams

Joseph Richard Williams was born in Des Moines, Iowa to Joseph and Effie (Moody) Williams on November 12, 1946. Joseph (aka) Butch was educated in the Des Moines Public School System and graduated from North High School.

Butch was self employed and spent more of his career detailing cars and took pride in his work. Butch enjoyed playing cards and dominoes. You could also find him watching football and basketball. Butch was a good cook, his specialty was eggs, bacon and pork chops. Butch loved to socialize and spent lots of time at the Knights of Pythias along with his good friend Merle Smith.

Joseph Butch Williams passed away peacefully on April 5, 2022. Preceding him in death were; his parents, Joseph and Effie, grandparents, Richard and Pauline Chaney, son, Tony Green.

Left to cherish his memories are; his children, Yolanda, Bridget and Janell; grandchildren, Shamair, Briana, Otjya, JaVaci, Anthony II, Chante; great-grandchild, Noah (and twins on the way); siblings, Carol Ann (Jimmie), Terri and Tony; his good friend Merle Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
