Johnny Lee Ollie Jackson was born on December 20, 1987 to Iwonna Joann Jackson and Johnny Lee Ollie, in Des Moines, IA. At an early age he met the Lord and attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church. Johnny received his education through the Des Moines Public School District and later on in life earned his G.E.D. He continued his education at Des Moines Area Community College to get his certification in automotive body restoration, while working at Mustards and McDonalds.
Johnny was a family man and loved to spend time with his son, Zaire. He was also a talented chef, who would often participate in cooking competitions. Johnny's signature dishes were shrimp stir-fry and marinated stuffed meatballs. A kid at heart, Johnny loved to play all day and sometimes a little too much. Johnny will always be remembered for his heart of gold and his undying love for his family and friends. A self motivated individual, Johnny always had a positive outlook on life and worked hard at building a bright future for him and his family.
Johnny went home to be with the Lord on September 5, 2016. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carolyn Burton; grandfather, Roscoe Burton; uncle, Roscoe Jackson; aunts, Kimberly and Sherry Jackson.
Johnny leaves to cherish his loving memories to his son; Zaire Jackson, mother; Iwonna Jackson, father; Johnny Ollie, sisters; Angela Deboue (Isaiah Deboue) and Regina Jackson; brother, James Jackson; aunts, Allene Lewis, Delphine Smith; uncle, Steve Jackson; fianc, Sherry Thorpe; stepchildren, Darrius, Alexis, London; his nephews, Eric, Nasir, Jahmir, Jamarion and niece, Jazelle; two friends whom he called his brothers, Teonte Smith and Stacen Botts and a host of uncles, aunts, family and friends.
