Johnny B. Dantzlerpassed away July 16, 2021.
Johnny Dantzler was born on August 9, 1952 toJulie (Dantzler) McCaleb and John Dock, in Mississippi. He graduated from George Washington Carver High School andlater continued his education at Iowa Central CommunityCollege where he studied mechanical engineering.
In 1985, Johnny did some mechanic work for a young lady named, Robin. The two would go on living life after the encounter. Their paths crossed later in life and the two found that they enjoyed each others company. On July 4, 2005 they were united in marriage.
Johnny worked several jobs throughout his life. Most of hiscareer was spent working as a machinist for Parr Manufacturing and helping to renovate Riverview for Polk County. In 2016, Johnny retired but continued to stay busy fishing, playingdominoes, working on cars and traveling to Mississippi when he could. He also enjoyed the peace and solitude of being at home. Whether he was watching sci-fi movies or simply taking amoment to relax and listen to some blues; Johnny enjoyed being at home. Johnny was also an excellent cook, specializing in smoked meats.
On July 16, 2021, Johnny made his final transition. He waspreceded in death by his parents, Julie McCaleb and J.B. Dock; sisters, Nancy Brown and Diane Rose Bennett; and brothers, Harris Dock and Joe Larry Dantzler.
Left to cherish Johnnys memory is his wife, Robin Dantzler; daughters, Shelice Lockman; and Myka Dae; grandsons, Davion Lockman, Devon Lockman, Xzander Rollen and Xzavier Clark; great-grandchildren, Zaniyah, Zavion Clark and Xzander Rollen Jr.; sister, Glenda Bennett; brothers, Charles Dock, J. W. Dock, James “Jimmy” Dock, Patrick Dock and Jake “Boonie” Dock and a host of other relatives and friends.
