Jeryl C. Watson

Jeryl Christopher Watson, passed away April 22, 2017 at the age of 55.

Jeryl was born to Carl and Whilemina Herndon Watson on September 23, 1961 in Des Moines, Iowa. He was a graduate of Valley High School, and also attended Des Moines Area Community College.

Jeryl was a natural caretaker. He worked as a home health aide for the Department of Human Services for years. He was a kind and compassionate person who loved helping others, especially children with special needs.

Jeryl's other passion in life was reading. He loved learning and what better way than with books. He loved historical novels and languages. His favorite past time was hanging out at the coffee shop reading and talking to customers. Jeryl could talk about anything because he read everything. He didn't meet strangers and his big smile and contagious laugh made him easy to talk to. He also liked the sound of 80's rock bands.

Jeryl will be sorely missed by his sister, Jana Sue Bragg and brother, Jeffrey Watson; his nephews whom he was especially fond of, Brandon Bragg and Justin Watson and his cousin, Erin Herndon.Gathering of Family and Friends
