Jariece Elizabeth Delarosa
Forever in our hearts
Jariece Elizabeth Delarosa came into this world with an entry that will never be forgotten. After nearly 72 hours of the induction process, an emergency c-section was performed. She came into the world swinging and kicking at Iowa Methodist Medical Center on June 19th , 2024.
We were just beginning our adventure when she was called home on August 21st, 2024. Jariece is preceded in death by an older sibling unknown ingender, her Great-Grandmother Clariece Williams, Great Grandfather Sullivan Cassell, and Grandfather Hector Alejandro Lizama, amongst other family and friends. Jariece was like her Great-Grandmother, Clariece, she never met a stranger. She was loving to all who met her not crying, nor fussing when meeting someone new. When she received a smile, she gave one back, gums and all. She had a special bond with all warranting a nickname from all the loved ones in her life. To her Papa, she was just the most beautiful little girl; To her Mommy, she was the most perfectly precious baby girl, To her Gigi, and Uncle Daddy, Peachie P and Peachie Mommas; To her Abu Princess and Sweetie Pie; and to others Nugget and Mommas!
Jariece’s activities and hobbies included watching her Papa and Uncles play the game, watching shows and movies with her Parents and Gigi, Face Timing with family and friends, blowing spit bubbles, gnawing on her clenched hands, kicking, being read to, listening to mommas remixed lullaby’s, flipping people off, and snuggling and giving Eskimo kisses. When it came to sleep, she was just like her Papa, headbutting herself into the most comfortable positions to fall asleep, and like her Gigi, somehow photogenic in the most random positions. She would scare herself awake and turn tolook at Papa and Mommy as if they were the ones who woke her up. Her cries were demanding and often consisted of the phrases “no” and “uhuh. She loved bath time but did not like how long it took Mommy to moisturize her. She did not like to wear those gloves that confined her hands and hats either, but she found comfort in her bonnet. She would wiggle and squirm until she found a way to get them off of her. It looks as if she was training for the UFC with all the punch and kick combos she would throw.
Jariece leaves behind her parents, Alexis Delarosa (Papa) and Jamecia Williams (Mommy), her Gigi, Elizabeth Williams, her Abu Alondra (David) Perez, her Tita, Desire, her Uncle Daddy, Janovian Williams, her Uncles Eber (Godfather), Alan, and Brian Delarosa, a special Godmother Serena Mason, 5 special cousins viewed as siblings, Ari’Anna and Avah’ Cassell, Cartez, Mason, and Jaydyn Parker, along with aunts, uncles, cousins, godmothers, amongst other family and friends. Her village was of plenty, offering love and good intentions for her well-being.
The flame ignited in our hearts from her presence will forever live on in her absence. We love you, until we meet again!
